I haven’t done much at Don’s Marketing Blog for some time now. The majority of my blogging is being done at IBOToolBox.com.
In order to keep this blog alive I will be posting the link to my latest article at IBOToolBox. I will start by going back to the beginning and move forward.
Here is one posted in December of 2011: Christmas Blog
IboToolBox.com is the greatest thing to hit the social networking scene since Facebook, and if you are a network marketing professional, amateur, or especially if you are a wannabe, you want to sign up for this free platform.
Developer Paul Williams has given a godsend to the online marketing community with this relatively new platform. I will do a better review later on, but right now you need to get over there and sign up, because to be quite honest, if you don’t you are an idiot and deserve to be among the 96% of online failures!

With all the election year hype about how the economy is recovering, I’m sure you know by now that it is all hype. The employment numbers going down is just a reflection of the fact that people are falling off the role, their benefits have run out.
If you are one of the unfortunate ones to have fallen off the role, no job prospect in site, and completely out of options, then maybe you should consider turning your life’s experience into a new career as an online marketer. Yes, it has value and is marketable.
You may be asking yourself, is online marketing for me? I ask you, why not? What do you really have to loose, it is one of the last opportunities available with a very low barrier to entry. If you’re reading this you already have access to the internet, which is one of the biggest cost’s you will have.
I’m not going to fill your head with promises of easy riches, although it has happened, but if you’re willing to learn a few things and make some changes in your thinking, it is possible to make a living with online marketing.
Although not necessary, a mentor can save you a lot of time and confusion, but if you have the time and desire you can find everything you need to know at the Google machine. If you go that route be prepared to be confused, and sort out all of the information you will find on starting in the online marketing business.
One of the first things you can do is subscribe to Don’s Marketing Blog rss feeds or the newsletter so you can be notified on new posts that you will find useful in your search for information on the online marketing business. You can also go through the articles here on the site.

If you have been in the business of online marketing for even a short time, you have obviously noticed that it is ever-changing. Along with its ever-changing nature, it’s becoming more crowded by the day. You must be asking yourself, where is it headed, what is the future of online marketing?
According to marketing master and longtime guru Dan Kennedy, content is no longer king, the future will belong to those who have a close personal relationship with their followers. After all, you can find the answer to practically any question or problem just by going to the Google machine and type in your question.
So how do you differentiate yourself from everyone else who is hawking the same product? This is where Dan’s thinking comes into play; you must have a personal relationship with your prospect. They must want to follow you because they feel they know you, just like a personal friend.
You must be yourself, and you will not be yourself if you are trying to duplicate someone else. You must share yourself and bits and pieces of your life, just as you would with a friend.
In closing, it is my humble opinion, that Dan sees the future as it is unfolding.

Your best creative state, by my definition, is the state of mind you are in when inspiration comes to write about something. If the acronym hasn’t been created yet, consider this the birthplace; BCS, henceforth known as best creative state.
When you sit down to write, for example, a post for your blog, where does your inspiration come from? Do you wake up in the morning with an idea in mind, does it come to you in the middle of the day, are you doing something else when it comes to mind?
Do you intentionally think of something to write about? Are you in a peaceful moment, meditating, are you listening to something inspirational, watching a video, or reading when the topic comes to you. Have you paid attention to what it is that is going on when you get your best idea?
It’s important to be aware of what it is that produces your best creative state, if you know that, then it can be duplicated.
My inspiration comes from listening to music. The music I listen to can change the mood I’m in., and my mood can make the difference between something really good and something bad or mediocre.
At this exact moment I’m listening to music from The Secret website, I find it very uplifting and seems to put me at peace with the universe. It’s something I want to share with you, if you are not already aware of it.
Have you become aware of what it is that inspires your best creative state?

As the title of this article asks, what is a squeeze page anyway? Basically, a squeeze page can be thought of as bait. You want someone to take the bait and sign up for something, a newsletter in most cases. This is how your mailing list is built.
This blog is a squeeze page of sorts. If you look in the upper right side of the page you will see an area to subscribe to this blog. Almost any page you go to will have some type of form for subscribing to that pages niche.
So it behooves you to put some effort into designing your squeeze page. What do you see when you land on a page? Usually something FREE being offered, a news letter, chapters from a book, videos, webinar tickets, samples, etc., usually just enough to get you interested, and entice you to want more. That is the purpose of a squeeze page, to build your list.
If you are going to offer something free, be sure it has some real value, if you don’t deliver on the promise you’ll turn your prospect sour, on you. You can get really creative when designing your squeeze page, two of the most effective emotions you will see used a lot are fear and urgency.
There are hundreds of words and phrases that evoke emotions, such as “Best Kept Secret,” “Shocking,” “FREE,” “Special Offer,” “Urgent,” you get the picture.
